Description
Commercially woven in Ireland at Cushendale Woollen Mills in Gragnamanaugh, County Kilkenny, Ireland. The Mill was built in the 1200’s and run by the Cushen family for the last six (6) generations. This Edward Bransfield Commemorative Scarf honors the Irish roots of the man for whom it is named. From fleece to thread to dye pot to the loom, Cushendale lovingly recreated the tartan by dyeing the fleece to match the colors of the original scarf. The lambswool fabric is soft, strong and light. Unbelievably comfortable, warm and dry. For those who wish to honor Irish roots and preserve the ancient art of commercial weaving.
